Veterinary Prescriptions That Meet BFSA Requirements

With the latest update, VetsWise can now issue veterinary prescriptions after every visit. This makes the work of veterinary clinics easier and ensures compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA).

Why we introduced veterinary prescriptions

Veterinary prescriptions are a key part of controlling the medicines prescribed for patients. The BFSA requires veterinarians to issue prescriptions in a strictly defined format, to ensure transparency, traceability and safe use of medicines. VetsWise automates this process by letting you generate prescriptions straight from the system, with no extra paperwork.

How it works

  1. Automatic prescriptions: after every visit at the clinic that involves prescribing medicines, VetsWise automatically offers you the option to create a prescription.
  2. Digital and paper versions: generated prescriptions can be saved in the system and printed on paper.
  3. History and traceability: every prescription issued is stored in the patient’s profile and is easy to review and reuse at future visits. You can find them through Outpatient Records and the patient’s profile.
